Accused coin thief acting as own lawyer is convicted

An Indianapolis man was found guilty of stealing a box containing nearly $70,000 worth of gold coins from a Winchester coin dealer. Antonio Ware was caught on security camera in October, 2014 at SilverTowne. Ware acted as his own attorney, who had no prior convictions. He’ll be sentenced March 28th.

Richmond company fined for OSHA noise violation

A Richmond company has agreed to pay a fine to settle an OSHA complaint about exposing employees to noise that exceed acceptable levels. Vandor Corp. on W. Robbery suspect accepts plea deal

In Hartford City, a man with a record of armed robbery has struck a deal with Blackford County prosecutors for a series of business and bank robberies last fall. 36-year-old Jason Bud Garmon took a plea deal and will be sentenced on March 28th. He was arrested for holdups in Dunkirk, Hartford City, and Eaton.

Accused puppy killer’s trial moved to May

A man who’s accused of killing his Yorkie after the puppy wet it’s owners bed had his trial rescheduled for May. 27-year-old Jackie Rodgers faces 30 months in prison if convicted. The man’s roommates called police after they say the man beat and possibly drowned the four-pound Yorkshire Terrier puppy last September.

Guns and booze don’t mix for Losantville man

A man with a blood alcohol level almost three times the legal limit to drive was arrested after he allegedly pointed a shotgun at another man. Mom charged with smoking weed near child

A 27-year-old Muncie mom is in trouble with police, charged with neglect of a dependent after she allegedly smoked weed near her toddler. Amanda Snodgrass is charged with possession and reckless possession of paraphernalia. She has previous convictions for theft and conversion. Snodgrass is in Delaware County jail with an $8,000 bond.
