The state will look at the cell phones of a man accused of killing his wife to find the text messages. The defendant, Mark Emerson, says he was threatened and wants to show that in the texts. He is charged with killing a man he caught with his estranged wife.
Madison County is getting big money back from the state. $8.7 million dollars that have been held in local income tax reserves by the Indiana Department of Revenue. Most of the money will go to repair roads and bridges, and the remaining two million will go in the Rainy Day fund.
