Local woman sues store after fall
A Muncie woman is suing Fisher Meats after she fell in their store following a snowstorm hit the area last February and she slipped in a puddle inside the front door. Cheryl Toomey says she was permanently and severely injured, lost wages and wants unspecified damages for what she calls “carelessness, recklessness and negligence.”
Corrections officer charged with teen’s rape
A corrections officer at the Madison County Correction Complex in downtown Anderson has been charged with rape. 20-year-old Chase Arbuckle was arrested on Wednesday for an alleged attack of a 17-year-girl in a Jeep outside the girl’s home. He’s facing criminal confinement, sexual battery, felony battery and rape chages, and has bonded out of jail.
