New this afternoon, Ball State President Paul Ferguson has resigned. He’s asking for a two-month sabbatical and then his resignation becomes effective. The Board of Trustees has reportedly accepted. Provost and Executive VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Terry King is now acting President.

Search warrants were served on two Mexican restaurants Wednesday, though no arrests were reported. Both establishments are owned by the same man, Manuel Rodriguez and were closed yesterday. The searches stemmed from a grand jury investigation in Marion County. The communications director for their prosecutors office confirmed the searches but shared no other details.
Delaware Community Schools is dropping health insurance for its part-time employees.
