The Indiana Department of Transportation awarded Muncie $4.6 million of Federal Highway Administration construction and inspection funds for local roads projects in the area. Three separate projects were funded through the award, including repaving work on Tillotson Avenue from Kilgore Avenue to McGalliard. Another project is on McGalliard from Tillotson to Wheeling Avenue.The Star Press reports that’s scheduled to start in Fiscal Year 2026.
