Out Of Luck

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is out for a few weeks with a lacerated kidney and partially torn abdominal muscle. He was injured during Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. Coach Pagano says he doesn’t believe surgery will be required and estimates that Luck will be back in two-to-six-weeks.


A growing number of Hoosier voters and businesses support adding legal protections for gays and lesbians to state law, but the governor is on the fence. Governor Mike Pence says he’s not yet decided what he’ll do. Lawmakers are due back at the statehouse in January.

Fire Southside Home

A fire all but destroyed a southside house on Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters were sent to the house, at 1401 W. 11th St., about 12:30 p.m., and found flames and smoke emerging from the two-story structure’s second floor and attic. No one was hurt, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

Indiana didn’t make many changes after last year’s conflict of interest scandals, and it shows in the state’s grade on the new integrity report card. The Center for Public Integrity gives Indiana a D-. The state gets failing grades for public access to information as well as legislative and judicial accountability.

Bank Robber MIA

22 YO James T. Cole was scheduled to stand trial Oct. 26 on allegations he shot at Yorktown police after robbing a bank. But he’s MIA. Cole was charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, attempted car jacking and a host of other charges, after robbing the First Merchants Bank on Nov. 6, 2012.
