Madison County sheriff’s deputies were involved in police action shooting Wednesday morning. Sheriff Scott Mellinger says deputies were serving an eviction order when the individual pointed a semi-automatic weapon at officers. Gunfire was exchanged, but no one was injured. An Elwood man has been arrested after being accused of inappropriate sexual contact with an 8-year-old relative. Police arrested 18-year-old Dylan Andrew Rexford, and charged him with Level 3 child molest and Level 4 incest. According to interviewers, the incident happened at the victim’s home just before Christmas.
