A New Super For Alec

Alexandria Community Schools have named Melissa Brisco as the district’s next Superintendent. The 47-year-old Alexandria native graduated from the Jr. Sr. High in 1987. She earned two master degrees in strategic management and educational administration and her doctorate from Indiana University. Brisco begins her job in the top educator spot on July first.

Honoring Noblesville’s Namesake

James Noble was one of 43 men who drafted and signed the Indiana state constitution, laying the groundwork for statehood six months later. A wreath-laying at Noblesville City Hall to honor the city’s namesake is the first in a series of ceremonies in 32 Indiana cities over the next three weeks.

HamCo Officials Meet On Leadership Academy

Leaders of Hamilton County’s four city governments are reflecting on what their successors will need. The mayors of Fishers, Westfield and Noblesville joined Carmel’s economic development director and Hamilton County Commissioner Christine Altman to address current and past classes of the Hamilton County Leadership Academy.
