INDOT Asks You To Slow Down

17 people died from work-zone crashes last year on Indiana’s roadways. That’s why the Indiana Department of Transportation is getting the word out about National Work Zone Awareness Week. INDOT officials are asking that you slow down and stay focused when you drive through a work zone.

B.O.W. Extends Union Contract

The Anderson Board of Public Works has voted to extend a contract with Utility Workers Local 108 for 120 days to allow for negotiations on a new agreement. Local union members failed to ratify a contract agreement with the city in 2012, and no negotiations have been scheduled.

Debris Shreds Commuter Tires

A rough morning for some Indy commuters: More than 50 vehicles had flat tires early Tuesday after metal was found on an interstate ramp. Police say the debris fell off the back of a semi near the ramp from I-70 westbound to I-465 north- bound on the west side.

Clinton Campaign Opens Muncie Office

A little more than three weeks before the primary election, another presidential campaign has set up shop in Muncie. The local campaign for Hillary Clinton has opened at Democratic Party Headquarters at 214 N. Walnut Street. Certificate Sale Bidding Cut Short

An internet problem in the final hour of the Madison County Commissioner’s Certificate Sale prematurely ended the bidding on properties, but the deadline won’t be extended by the county commissioners. President John Richwine says by extending the deadline the county could be looking at some liability issues.
