There are no plans to end the Henry County Sheriff Department’s involvement with the multi-county Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement team. A recently released audit said guidelines weren’t followed in the use of about $313,000 in federal funds distributed to the team back in 2014 and 2015. Sheriff Ric McCorkle says no money is missing but it is unclear at this point what actions will have to be taken.
