Railroad crossing repairs continue today and tomorrow. Crossings in the Salem Township and Yorktown areas affected include: Delaware County roads 300-south, 700-west, and 400-south. They’ll be closed through Friday morning.
Alexandria Mayor Ron Richardson says the City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday to transfer money from the city’s gambling tax fund to pay for more than 120-thousand dollars in missed sewer bond payments. The unpaid bills were discovered by the city attorney May 11th.

A teacher’s aide has been arrested for being drunk at school. A police report says 45-year-old Angela Gendron, of McCordsville, showed up for work at Fortville Elementary School smelling of alcohol. Police were called, and a breath test showed she had a blood-alcohol level of .24, three times the legal limit.
Anderson’s Little 500 events continue. Today – May 25 – the Winged Sprints will be in action, while tomorrow is Pole Day and Senior Day at the track. The activities lead up to the 68th running of the Little 500 Sprint Car race Saturday night at Anderson Speedway.
