Bridge work to begin soon on U.S. 27

Work on the bridge over Goshen Creek on U.S. 27 will begin soon. Drivers will need to watch out for temporary traffic signals beginning Monday on the federal highway about two miles north of Indiana 28 near the county line. The nearly $600,000 repair contract was awarded to Primco. Inc.

School nursing care in MCS to be outsourced

Muncie Schools will now contract out for school nurses. The change will save the district about $300,000 and goes into effect on August 1st. The staff will come from Interim HealthCare of Indianapolis. The current nursing staff from IU Health Ball Memorial can apply for their jobs through Interim.
