Top military and intelligence officials provided a classified briefing on the nuclear weapons threat posed by that country. Earlier this week, Trump called North Korea a “real threat to the world.”

No Smoking At IMS Starting In October

The grandstands at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be entirely smoke-free starting this year. Muncie Man Charged With Child Exploitation

A Muncie man has been arrested on charges of felony Child Exploitation. 28-year-old Walter Springston is facing eight felony counts after a yearlong investigation by ISP Pendleton Detectives and investigators with the Indiana State Police Cyber Crimes Unit. Springston was arrested at his home Tuesday for the dissemination of child pornography.

Another Nurse Facing Drug Charges

Another nurse at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is accused of stealing drugs. 25-year-old Kadee Klafka has been arrested and charged with possession of a narcotic drug, theft and criminal recklessness. The Muncie woman is alleged to have stolen the narcotics and ingesting them before treating patients.

Former Judge Faces Suspension Of Law License

She’s a former Elwood City Judge and now she’s facing the suspension of her law license. Veronica Roby is accused of failing to pay the costs of a disciplinary matter from February of 2016. Roby was ordered to pay more than $500 for the investigation of a grievance against her that was eventually dismissed.

BSU Gets Funding for New Science Complex

It could be the end of the outdated Cooper Science Complex. The state Legislature has appropriated $87.5 million for a new STEM building to house Ball State University’s biology, chemistry and geology departments. University officials say the old facility would be difficult to renovate.

SR9 Construction To Switch Lanes Today

There will be a change-up on the SR 9 construction today between I-69 and Huntsville Road. Work crews will shift one lane of traffic in each direction to share the northbound side of the highway. The traffic shift will also close direct access to and from Huntsville Road west of State Road 9.
