Pendleton Officer Arrested

Theresa Zuchowski a Pendleton Correctional Facility officer has been arrested for trafficking. Indiana State Police charged Zuchowski after she attempted to provide two cellphones to an inmate. She’s been on the job less than six months.

Accused Bank Bandit Admits To Other Robberies

36-year-old James B. Garmon who was arrested by authorities who believed he was the bandit involved in several robberies in the area, has confessed not only to three recent bank robberies, but also two holdups at East Central Indiana liquor stores. Including Hughes Pic-A-Pac and Eaton Liquors.

Drug Abuse Leading Cause Of Death Among Indiana Adults

A new survey says 80-percent of Indiana workplaces are impacted by prescription drug abuse. The statewide study by the National Safety Council and the Indiana Attorney General’s Office revealed that drug poisonings have increased five-fold in Indiana since 1999 and have surpassed vehicle crashes as the leading cause of injury death among adults.

Escaped Inmate Captured

An escaped inmate from the Pendleton Reformatory is back in custody. Charles Adams was arrested yesterday evening in Angola. He’d been on the run since Sunday night. Adams was taken to the hospital as a precaution because sheriff’s deputies thought he might have swallowed some drugs.

Two Prisoners Captured. One Still Missing

Farm Credit Mid America AG Scholorship Pledge

Farm Credit Mid-America, which has a office in Anderson, has pledged $70,000 to Ivy Tech Community College’s Agriculture Program. The money will be used for scholarships at the college. AG graduates can earn an Associates Degree in agribusiness management, crop production, livestock production or precision agriculture.
