Farm Credit Mid-America, which has a office in Anderson, has pledged $70,000 to Ivy Tech Community College’s Agriculture Program. The money will be used for scholarships at the college. AG graduates can earn an Associates Degree in agribusiness management, crop production, livestock production or precision agriculture.

Delaware County Commissioners have voted against allowing county employees to have political donations automatically withdrawn from their pay checks. The decision reverses a 2009 ordinance allowing the activity. Some members of the board called it extortion, others a matter of convenience. Either way it could mean thousands of dollars in loses to local political parties.

Flags are flying at half-staff at Indiana facilities statewide in honor of the victims of the San Bernardino, California, shooting. The order issued by the Governor says flags may return to full-staff at midnight Monday.
Prosecutors want Russell Taylor to be sentenced to 35-years in prison. Taylor is the former director of the Jared Foundation who pleaded guilty in October to child pornography and child exploitation charges. Taylor will be sentenced on December 10th.

A man thought to be a police impersonator is a roadside assistance worker. The Fishers Police Department says a woman contacted them about a suspicious car with flashing lights that tried to pull her over last weekend. Officers talked with the man, who denied trying to pull anyone over.

A lawsuit has been filed against a group of home repair scammers. Indiana Attorney General’s office says at least 41 residents were taken for more than 280-thousand dollars. The suit filed in Hamilton County court, alleges the company charged victims for services that were never done.
