“Get Alarmed” Offers Free Smoke Detectors

Anderson Mayor Thomas Broderick, Jr., and Fire Chief David Cravens have announced “Get Alarmed”. The fire prevention program will provide smoke detectors free of charge to city residents. To participate in the Get Alarmed program, citizens must complete and return a Smoke Alarm Request Form to the Anderson Fire Department.

A mobile home park that stood on Indianapolis’ west side for more than four decades was demolished Monday. Grandma Lloyd’s Mobile Home Park on Rockville Avenue was in disrepair and was attracting criminal activity. The mobile home park is just one of the blighted areas in Indianapolis being targeted by Mayor Joe Hogsett.
