Former Sheriff dies

A death to note this afternoon. The former Delaware County Sheriff Gary Carmichael, died on Saturday. Carmichael served two terms as sheriff, then was elected to three terms as county assessor. He leaves a legacy of being equally respected by both political parties, friends calling him a Republicrat. Carmichael was 80, funeral arrangements are pending.
