Richmond cop finds lots of dope

A Richmond cop pulled over a driver on I-70 in Henry County at the 131 mile miler last Friday and used a drug-sniffing dog to find $45,000 worth of cocaine. The driver, Jesus Fonseca from Mexico, was arrested for dealing cocaine and jailed.

Dog bites child, owner pulls gun

INDOT awards contract for new Neely Avenue plan

INDOT has awarded a million and a half dollar road construction contact to Brooks Construction of Fort Wayne to redo Neely Avenue between Ball State and Minnetrista campus. The plan calls for full-depth pavement replacement, bike lanes, a landscaped median, sidewalks, curbs, gutters and storm drains.

Muncie woman jailed after grandson leaves her home drunk

Police arrested a woman for the second time for neglect-of-a-dependent after her five-year-old grandson left her home while she was drunk. The woman, 45-year-old Denise Seats, was arrested Saturday night when officers returned the boy to the home. Her blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit to drive, .168 percent. Selma fiery crash victims identified

The two people killed in a Selma fiery crash have been identified as 51-year-old Gene Greer Jr. and 45-year-old Joy Greer. The coroner’s office used dental records to identify the remains after they crashed into a tree Saturday night and the car caught on fire. The coroner says they died of blunt force trauma.
