A Wayne County man who was charged with hitting and killing a woman riding a bicycle in the middle of the night has been convicted. 25-year-old Clifford Henry was taken into custody after the verdict. The crash near Centerville on U.S. 40 happened in August 2014 that killed Joana Abernethy. Sentencing is June 9th.
Vectren is working this summer in Anderson to replace four miles of gas pipelines in the area, and roads will be closed while work is being done. A Richmond man is wanted for the rape of a woman over two days in April. Police are looking for 36-year-old Michael Lawrence Abbott. The victim says Abbott is a former boyfriend who held her against her will and assaulted her at a Richmond home of a friend.
The state is considering taking the Bobcat off the list of protected species and allow hunters to thin out the growing population.
