Kokomo Councilman Resigns Over Social Media Posts

A Kokomo councilman is resigning after controversy over old social media posts. Greg Jones’ posts dating back to 2015 reportedly insulted Muslim Americans, while another criticized rights for the LGBTQ community. Jones was just sworn in after winning the seat in November’s election. Jones says he will step down immediately.

Accused Of Selling Meth Outside The McDonalds

A Winchester woman has been accused of selling meth to an informant for the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department. According to the Star Press, 32-year-old Christina Fraze is accused of selling what was supposed to be a quarter-ounce of the drug to the informant outside the Winchester McDonald’s last April.

150 New Jobs By The End Of 2022

Gov. Eric Holcomb joined Toyota executives to announce that the company is investing $700 million in its assembly facility in Princeton, adding150 new jobs by the end of 2022. The four-million-square-foot facility helps make the Toyota Highlander midsize SUV. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana already employs nearly 7,000 Hoosiers.

Taylor Math Team Takes Top Honors

The Taylor University Mathematics Department has won the annual Michigan Autumn Take-Home Challenge. The contest, conducted late in the fall semester each year, is directed by Albion College in Michigan. Taylor’s team, comprised of students Jordan Crawford, Drew Anderson, and Alexander McFarland, scored 60 points to finish first in the 52-team field.

4th Annual Young Artist Exhibition, February 27

Cornerstone Center for the Arts and PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union, will host its 4th annual Young Artist Exhibition on Thursday, February 27, from 5:30-7:30 pm in Cornerstone’s Colonnade Room. The exhibition is free, is open to the public and will include artwork from K-12th grade young artists who reside in or attend school in Delaware County.
