Armed robber to ask for early release

Another Muncie man in prison for two Village Pantry robberies and one at a southside liquor store wants early release. James “Red” Johnson was convicted in 2003 after pleading guilty to armed robbery. He’s set to be released in May 2019 and has an early release hearing with the parole board on Feb. 23rd.

New Castle murder trial delayed

A murder trial for the suspect in a New Castle woman’s death has been delayed. The suspect, 37-year-old Anthony Dailey is accused of killing Kirsten Sidwell last spring. Muncie pair arrested on warrants

Two Muncie residents were arrested on warrants for alleged drug violations. The Sheriff’s Office says 35-year-old Shaun Blankenship and Christa Gassman were arrested last week after a deputy saw them in a car on Riggin Rd. Both had outstanding warrants.

Muncie man faces 20 years in baseball bat attack

A Muncie convicted felon now faces 20 years in prison after being found guilty of beating a local man with a baseball bat in September 2013. The victim suffered a broken arm and leg. Now 46-year-old Timothy Hahn could go to prison for 20 years. He’ll be sentenced in Delaware Circuit Court on February 11th.
