Delaware Co. jail working on repairs, asks for council ok

The cost of incarceration is going up this year in Delaware County. Sheriff Ray Dudley released a report detailing needed repairs and issues that need to be addressed, including faulty electrical and overcrowding. Dudley says some of the immediate concerns are being addressed, and is asking city council to approve the money spent.

The most dangerous thing in Delaware County is the decaying Ski-Hi Drive-In, according to the building commissioner Steve Minnick. He told the Star Press that it’s coming down, since the owner hasn’t been able to restore or sell it. The decaying drive-in was built 63 years ago, and hasn’t been used in almost 11 years.
