Official Responds To Criticisms Of New Jail Conditions
Jeff Stanley, chief deputy of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department, says the majority of social media posts that claim living conditions aren’t good at the new county jail, aren’t true. The Star Press reports some people who posted said it was so cold inside that inmates could see their berath. Stanley says the lock up keeps temps at 68 to 70 but does say that there have been issues with water temperatures and that recirculation pumps have been ordered.
