The County Jail Overcrowding Task Force met at Anderson University this week with the goal of identifying common reasons for jail overcrowding. The ongoing opioid addiction epidemic is near the top of the list. The group was urged to support mental health and substance abuse treatment facilities in every county when they make their upcoming recommendation to the governor.
