The Chesterfield Town Council put the brakes on a discussion to remove a traffic signal at Indiana 32 and Washington Street. A traffic and pedestrian count from May 2018 was below the threshold for a signal, according to INDOT. The council countered that the count was only for one 24-hour period on a Thursday – 18 months ago.
