Inmate Charged With Attempted Murder In Attack On Guard

An inmate serving a prison sentence for murder has been charged with attempted murder after an October attack on a guard at the Pendleton Correctional Facility. The Herald Bulletin reports 45 year old James Phillips is also charged with being a prisoner in possession of a deadly weapon and battery of a public safety official.
