January 3rd is the new sentencing date fo rthe final person charged in the federal Muncie corruption case that began in 2014. Tony Franklin, reports the Star Press, is one of five people charged in a bribery conspiracy involving Muncie Sanitary District contracts. He was scheduled to be sentenced earlier this week after pleading guilty to charges back in May.
