Delaware County officials are warning local residents about scam calls concerning warrants. According to the Star Press, con artists posing as employees of the sheriff’s department are calling local residents and indicating a warrant has been issued for their arrest. The caller indicates the victim can avoid arrest if they post a cash bond, and offers to meet the victim after they have collected the necessary money. Authorities say it’s not legitimate.
