A bicyclist escaped serious injury after being struck by a vehicle Thursday in southern Madison County. The Herald Bulletin reports 18 year old Garret K. Hicks suffered road rash to his arms, legs and torso in the accident in which his bike collided with a car making a turn. Hicks was transported to Methodist Hospital as a precaution.
