Anderson Community Schools were closed Wednesday because of staff absences. The Herald Bulletin reports the district said in a statement on its website that the decision to close was due to 15 to 20% of teachers engaging in an illegal concerted job action by calling off work. The superintendent maintains the action hurts students the most.
