Former Muncie streets superintendent Donald ‘Duke’ Campbell Jr. died in an apparent drowning in a small pond at his property on East 18th Street. The Star Press reports Campbell was found face down in the water Tuesday night and resusciation efforts failed. He was pronounced dead at IU Health Ball Memorial at just before 9pm.
