A public hearing on reauthorizing the syringe exchange program in Madison County that had been scheduled for Tuesday, was put off and rescheduled for March 2nd at 10am. The Indiana General Assembly is currently considering legislation to extend the state authorization for the syringe exchange program through June 30, 2030. The current state authorization expires on July 1 and could put an end to programs in nine counties.
