Health officials say more than 40,000 Hoosiers have now received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The Star Press reports another 50,000 individuals have appointments and are expected to receive their first dose by Jan. 4. So far, the state has received 94,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Both it and the Moderna vaccine require two doses given weeks apart.
