Handoff Slated For Mid November For New Delaware County Jail

The handoff of the new Delaware County Jail is slated to happen in mid November, reports the Star Press. That would put the project right on time. Work has been taking place to turn the former Wilson Middle School into a 500 bed jail, costing the county around $3 million a year for twenty years. Court and law enforcement offices have to be moved out of the downtown Justice Center.
