Alexandria Community Schools hoped to save money by consolidating the elementary school with the intermediate school but COVID-19 has changed the bottom line. As the district looks to eventually bring students back into buildings, it will need to continue to keep a full custodial staff in place for daily disinfection and will increase the elmentary nursing position by a few hours a week as well.
