Midday Tuesday Shooting Under Investigation

A shooting in Muncie Tuesday that left one person injured near West Bethel and North Maplewood Avenue is under investigation. The Star Press reports a victim was transported by ambulance to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital with at least one gunshot wound to theirlower extremities. Police did not believe the injuries were life-threatening. The victim reportedly called 9-1-1. No word on suspects or a motive.
