North Walnut Street had to be closed to traffic Thursday afternoon after police say a truck hit a utility pole and began leaking fuel. It happened on the 1900 block near Centennial Avenue when a leased Penske box truck struck the pole snapping it at the base and rupturing the vehicle’s fuel tank.
