Statue Honoring Civil Rights Icon Under Consideration In Muncie

A bronze statue honoring a civil rights icon may well be finding a home in one of three locations in Muncie. Cornerstone Park, McCulloch Park and Fireman’s Park are being discussed as possible locations for the $80,000 lifesize statue of Hurley Goodall, one of the city’s first black firefighters and the first black lawmaker from Delaware County. It may be unveiled in spring or summer of next year.
