More than 23 years after he fatally shot a Ball State University student, Larry Wayne Newton Jr. appears to have exhausted his appeals in the state courts. The Star Press reports that the Indiana Supreme Court will not review the case of Newton, who was just 17 when he killed Christopher Coyle – a 19-year-old BSU student from Pendleton – during an attempted robbery.
