An Elwood police officer is expected to be charged with leaving the scene of an accident after he hit a street sign in his patrol car. The crash happened near the intersection of Hartman Road and Broadway in Anderson. Patrolman William J. Maluvac did not immediately report the incident. It was reported by a witness.
