Authorities allege a Gaston man punched his estranged wife in the face, and then set her car on fire. 27-year-old Carl Zachariah Swallow is charged with arson and domestic battery. He was being held in the Delaware County jail on Wednesday under a $30,000 bond. He is scheduled to stand trial Jan. 29 on charges, of domestic battery and strangulation, filed in September.
