Fortville Man Accused Of Impersonating Cop

A Fortville man is in jail for impersonating a police officer. 25-year-old Nathanial Salazar had a gun on his hip while he was helping coach a soccer practice at Mt. Vernon schools.  Salazar was told by others he couldn’t have the gun on school property, to which he replied that he was a Fortville police officer. He is now facing felony charges of impersonating a public servant and possession of a firearm on school property.
