Five people were injured after a Sunday crash on the Muncie Bypass. Police were called to the accident at the Bypass and Meeker Avenue just after 2:30pm. There, officials found a a van had practically split a car in two. Police said a man driving a car on Meeker Avenue pulled into the path of a van driving southwest on the Bypass. The crash nearly tore the entire back section of the car off. None of those involved were said to have life threatening injuries. The van was driven by a grandmother traveling with her three young grandchildren. All five people involved were taken to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital as a precaution.
