A motorcycle accident Tuesday killed an IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Police Department officer. Authorities say 26 year old Kurtis Gwaltney of Anderson, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which happened along Strawtown Avenue. He was on the bike, headed east when his motorcycle left the road and went several hundred feet through a field before coming to a stop.
