Complaint Claims Violation Of The Open Records Law

The city of Anderson is in violation of the state’s open records law. That’s the claim in a complaint filed in Madison Circuit Court by the wife of Daniel Oberhart. He and his son Riley were killed in a crash while Anderson police were in pursuit of robbery suspect Gary Agnew, who also died in the crash. The family has filed a tort claim notice against the city seeking damages for wrongful death.
