The 2016 Indiana Teacher of the Year Jean Russell visited South View Elementary School recently. Mrs. Russell talked to Ball State education majors who will give South View students one on one literacy help. She also encouraged them to take an active role in government policy and to speak up for education. Russell is currently conducting a year of service as Teacher of the Year. She focuses her service on the recruitment and retention of great teachers in Indiana.
