Crews responded to a small fire in the second story of a house on Poplar Street in Anderson, Tuesday. Residents say they heard a loud pop and then saw smoke pour out from behind a curtain. Because the fire was contained to one small area, most of the damage was smoke-related. Three children and four adults in the house all got out safely. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
