Ortiz Trial Underway In Madison County

The Alexander Ortiz trial stemming from the murder of Andrea Aquirre is underway. Aquirre was found dead by her husband Dec. 20, 2021, inside her residence in the 800 block of West Third Street and Aguirre’s brother Diego named Ortiz as his sister’s boyfriend. An investigation lead to Ortiz being charged in connection with the slaying.
