An anonymous donor told the local Salvation Army that they would match cash donations raised between November 30th and December 4th in their annual fundraising kettle campaign. The ten kettles that week brought in just above $10,000 so the match was applied. The Muncie paper reports the same donor made the same promise for Christmas week.
