Muncie Community Schools has welcomed its first family of Afghan refugees. The Star Press reports seven boys, ages 6 to 18 started last week. The district has partnered with the Muncie Afghan Refugee Resettlement Committee, was formed after thousands fled Afghanistan in August as U.S. forces withdrew and the Taliban took control of the country.
